
My grandfather taught mathematics at Aligarh Muslim University. My grandfather moved to Lal Qila (Red Fort), Delhi. He met my father and said goodbye to the family. My mother told me that their train was attacked many times while they were traveling towards Lahore, but they remained untouched by any attacker and reached Lahore safely. After they reached Lahore, they moved to Rawalpindi.
"I used to read and listen to English news since my childhood. That's how English press later became my profession. I secured a job at Pakistan Press International (P.P.I.) in 1970, and have traveled abroad as a senior journalist many times." This interview was conducted by Story Scholar Sharf Alam.
